[She's been here like two days and she already has an Inmate. Even if it's a temporary pairing, she still wants to do her best.

Though she has no idea what Angel looks like, so she does some quick network sleuthing to get his number.]

[Angel hasn't done this before, and he wants to set things off with the right tone. Meaning he wants to make it very clear he ain't some push over.]

[A slow but steady stream of Nuggets pictures and short clips, as long as Vaggie has him. Lots of napping. Going to a pizza party. Playing in the greenhouse. Having a little swim. Occasionally posed, though Vaggie does not have Angel's aplomb with photoshoots and they're all slightly blurry, as the pair of sunglasses starts to fall off his snout or he becomes bored of sitting in front of flowers and is halfway through getting up to trundle away.]

[Angel does his best to give some small reaction to each snippet he receives regardless of how he's feeling. And while they might not be the best pictures, they are pictures of his baby, who he misses.

Once he starts feeling not quite so shitty he's able to give a more coherant reply.]

[Not having to show his face makes acting unbothered by the horrific events a little easier, and Angel's voice was close to that same flirty tone from the last time they'd spoken.]

[Like the last time she watched Nuggs, Vaggie sends a steady stream of messages to his inbox, though it feels a bit weirder and a lot more melancholy. She doesn't like him, specifically, being in a coma, even if the barge version doesn't really share anything but a name with the guy's actual cause of death. Usually it's pictures or video of the pig, sometimes it's just absentminded verbal abuse (affectionate). Just checking in, buddy, even if you're not on the other end at the moment.]

[The other boat had been shit and being back on the Barge was something of a relief, but before he can let himself really relax, Blitzø knows there's a few people he needs to drop in on if he can. It takes a minute for him to find Angel's room but he hopes that the sinner is in when he knocks.]

[There's a snuffling from behind the door, and not long after Angel answers with Fat Nuggets tucked under an arm. The hellpig squirms, grunting a greeting at the imp as Angel steps aside to welcome him in.]

Place is kinda a mess, but hey, wanna come in?

[Shit. Shit, fuck, dammit. He's been here, what, a week maybe and is already kicking himself.

In theory he could just go to his room, knock on the door, and have this conversation. But, Husk is maybe feeling a little safer sending a message first so that he doesn't end up running with his tail between his legs.

It's... not like they've made anything official or even really talked about shit, so this shouldn't be a big deal, right? Right.]

[The buzz of his device still makes Angel flinch instinctively, and he rolls his eyes at himself as he picks it up. How long is it going to take for that to instinct to fade? He brightens when he sees Husk's name, that anxiety calmed in an instant.]

He turns, debating running away, and smacks his tail against the door with a loud thump.]

[That...is a weird noise, but the curse that follows it, and the interest of Fat Nuggets draws Angel to the door before Blitzø can make good on any thoughts of running away. The sinner looks only briefly surprised before a smile pulls at his face, and he snickers softly.]

Well ain't you direct?~ [Half tease, half play excuse for Blitzø shouting 'fuck!' outside his door that isn't cold feet.] Come on in. [Something the hellpig makes a little difficult in his efforts to greet/sniff the imp.]

It's a little bit before Husk's door eases open, Angel letting himself in, and moving to make himself comfortable on the bed. It's strange how quickly this room has begun to feel like an extension of his own, just lacking his personal sense of interior design.

"Was half expectin' an visitor in here with ya," he teased, cozying up to Husk.

Needless to say, Husk was quite glad to have ushered the last people out of the lounge and clean everything up once the whole nonsense had calmed down. Fireworks and the like he hadn't cared about, he had one thing in mind for how to start his new year and it had been something quite specific.

Hopefully Angel isn't about to fuss as Husk just quickly scoops the spider demon up into his arms to finally leave the lounge, making sure it's locked and making his way down to his their cabin below. Anyone and everyone that might be in the way is plainly ignored as he gets the cabin door open and closes it with a kick behind him before gently setting him down on the bed and crawling up after him.

The purring has not stopped even once since he'd scooped him up, immediately shoving his face into Angel's chest fluff and tail wrapping loosely around his waist.

Frankly, Husk should be impressed Angel let him clean, even helped out so he could get to the non-classy part of the evening faster, while knocking back unfinished drinks. Which leaves him a little more agreeable than normal to be carried away in public, laughing giddily and clinging to Husk.

And then they're back in what's almost their natural state, Angel petting his fingers over Husk's ears and half sure he's going to pass out in the chest fluff like a proper old man.

Post death stuff

[Husk had been quiet post Breach, keeping an eye on the network when someone had pointed out the murders that were going on. He had, at first, tried to message Angel to make sure that he was okay as he hadn't returned to their cabin and he knew he wasn't in his own considering Nuggets had been using the pet-sized door to stay in the shared cabin. His anxiousness hadn't settled down when he heard nothing from him, remaining on edge the entire time.

He had to wait, had to not panic. They couldn't die for real here, right? It was the same deal as Hell and it wasn't like either of them hadn't been through it before. Luckily the pig was the reason he knew to go check Angel's cabin when the small creature had scampered out with a loud squeal.

... And the fact the spider was out of it on the bed confirmed his suspicions. Without a word and being as gentle about it as he could, he'd scooped him up into his arms, holding him close to his body and allowing his wings to cover him while transporting him back to his own cabin and setting him down on the bed, making sure that he was propped up with as many ridiculous pillows as he normally had before grabbing a glass of water and perching on the edge of the bed to watch him.

His tail was already flicking behind him with the anxiety curled tightly in his chest, that and the frown on his lips the only things to give away how much this was eating away at him.]

[There was a soft sound from Angel as he was picked up, but little else, mind fighting against the pain of the death toll to cling to those last few seconds of peace. Seconds became minutes, and without opening his eyes Angel finally managed to hoarsely mumble-]
