The last time I was in the spotlight was when I lost everything, baby. The public teasing ain't so much the problem, just seeing all of that coming out at once and feeling like it was focused on me was the problem.

Ehhh. They also were the type that started crying when things went too far even though we had a fucking signal for before it got to that point and also loved blaming me for that fact.

But that doesn't matter anymore. I do miss some of the others I had from time-to-time, though.

Guess so, just feels like something I should do. [He shrugs slowly before moving to perch on the bed, tail oddly still to his side.] It ain't that big of a deal, but just seemed better to talk about it in person.

[Rude, Angel. Though it does get a bit of a smile out of him, because he can't really think of something that would bother him if he walked in on it at this point. The scritch is met with him lightly pushing into the hand, which... helps.]

If you didn't want people questioning you, you had to settle down at some point and it ain't as if I had much of a choice when it got to a point of where it became more and more difficult to do the things I was doing. [It required a lot of agility, a lot of smoke and mirrors, which technology made more difficult in his later years. Especially when the mobsters were pushed out of the casino business by big business instead.]

Settled down with a girl that knew the score, at least, got people's attention off of us.
