"I could go back to Whiskers," he threatens with a smirk, stretching out and letting himself enjoy the high coupled with such pleasant emotions, a far cry from where it'd started. He'd been all prepared for a pity party and now he can't stop smiling.
"Keep talkin' like that and you're gonna need fight past that whisky dick."
"Ain't the only one calling me that, so probably better to stick to the other," he murmurs, shifting a little to place his chin quite comfortably back into Angel's chest fluff so he can watch him from that spot. The purring is just happy little rumbles despite everything.
"Like I ain't a fucking expert at working past that shit by now. But I'm quite comfortable right where I am so getting me to move's not gonna happen."
"Who else is callin' ya that?!" Angel's possessiveness over that obvious nickname is maybe a bit overblown, pushing to sit up but weighed down by that pleasant weight of Husk, calming him enough to drop the ire.
"Heh. No? You're the only person I ever met who could resist me, Husky, ya know that?"
Lord, he did not expect him to get that upset about a nickname of all things. At least his weight gets him to cut the shit and he rolls his eyes lightly, nuzzling back into him to get comfortable again. "Calm down, it ain't a huge deal. It's almost as if whiskers is the first thing someone thinks about when it comes to a cat or something." Which is. True, of course. Outside of some shit like "kitty" or "kitty cat" or some variation thereof.
"Might be better for the both of us that I can~ 'Cause you're more fun to fuck around with when you're sober, sorry to say. But ain't like I'm not the same." He's very careful to make sure he's not judging him with that, especially since his own self deprecation is filtered into it.
It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that Angel might cut a bitch for invading his territory. Buuuut he does know Husk is fucking other people, he can't bring this kind of manic energy to the table. It doesn't stop him from pouting.
He snorts in disbelief, but doesn't seem offended at least. "Sober-ish," he allows, not sure anything but those first weeks here would really count as sober.
Unlike the rest, he comes back to Angel at the end of the day instead of just wandering off to his room. There's a clear distinctive line there, if he were asked, and he'd very much explain that as plainly as possible if asked. Though the pout does earn him a nose boop and a grin.
"More sober than you were before, how 'bout that?" It's not exactly hard to exceed that bar, but he's already more than aware that being entirely sober isn't in their cards. There's enough reasons to fall back into old patterns and habits, especially when it was things used to dull the pain.
"Mm-" Angel nods his consent, even if there is a small pout at being denied right this moment. "Not a bad incentive," he admits, though he doubts any of his Wardens will be pleased to learn sex is his motivation to keep clean-ish.
"Any incentive is better than nothing," he mutters, leaning up to kiss under his chin before letting his rough tongue trail against the skin under the fur. It's not like it's great, sure. But a start is a start and if it works, then it works.
"'Sides, if anyone says shit about it, I'll knock their skull in." He won't, but it's a threat none-the-less.
