Really, he's not sure why he's wary about it, there's nothing about him that he couldn't find some good in. But, admittedly, he's really curious as to why he's so shy about them.
But once he gets one out he's looking and merely laughing, though the sound is bright and not at all mocking. "The way you acted about them I thought they'd be horrifyin' or something, they're absolutely adorable." He's certainly not lying about it, either, given the way his tail is practically wagging at this point. "I literally have paws, what were you worried about?"
Clearly the self doubt about them runs deep considering how fiercely Angel typically keeps them hidden. And given the shy but tentatively hopeful look on his face at Husk's words- those doubts were placed there by an outside source.
"The paws are cute," he argues with a fond smile, bare now, apart from his pretty new necklace. "...you really don't mind 'em?"
It takes him no guesses to know exactly who would have put those doubts there, especially since he... doesn't see why someone would find them disgusting or anything other than cute.
For as much as he was going to bar the bathroom, he's easily breaking the distance between them, arms tight around his waist and quickly stealing a kiss. "There's nothing about you I don't like, got it? You're fucking perfect as far as what I think." Fuck Valentino or whoever else enforced that bullshit, actually.
"... You wanna help me out of these pants and then we can get that bath?" Because, dammit, he's going to pamper this man whether he likes it or not.
This isn't at all the way his little striptease was supposed to go, but these tender interludes make his heart flutter harder than some of the kinkiest workouts he's been put through. The spider laughs, and it's hard not to believe him when Husk speaks so earnestly, even if the both of them know damn well Angel's not perfect.
"Can I get that in writing?" he laughs, something he can whip out the next time he frustrates the other sinner.
His lower hands make quick work of opening those pants without even lookin, taking the time to steal another kiss. "You're gonna fuck me after all this, right?"
Exactly the way he planned it all along, obviously. He'd argue time and time again with him that he does think he's perfect just like this, Heaven and Hell be damned, but for the time being he's feeling more... chill about it. Far more perfect than he is, after all.
"Ask me later and maybe," he huffs out, unable to hide the amusement in his voice. He'll get frustrated again at some point, of course, but that's... normal, isn't it?
Luckily he's learned that there's no point in bothering with any sort of underwear while he's lounging in here and casually steps out of them and not letting him steal that kiss as he catches him to make it last just a little longer. "Might defeat the purpose of a bath, but..." He trails off, letting one of the hands at his waist slide down to tease just above his crotch. "If that's what you want, I can make an exception." It's not like they couldn't just have a shower afterward, anyway. Without another word he's actually moving to scoop this ridiculous man up into his arms bridal style and head into the bathroom.
Once there it's... a little dark at first but it's easy enough to get used to the candlelight instead and the scent of something that's more akin to lavender and sage. "Thought maybe a lil somethin' extra was needed?" He's not even sure, but he's quite glad for his own eyesight being great in the dark.
Clinging to him with a laugh, Angel enjoys being carried around more than he cares to admit. Such a casual show of strength and caring.
His smaller eyes blink open, trying to see better while his main eyes adjust, and his gaze softens in surprise. "Better hope I don't get used ta this, or I'm gonna demand this kinda pamperin' every night."
Evidently he's quite fond of it, too, given the purring and the fact he's more than happy for him to cling like that. Husk obviously doesn't have the height advantage, so he has to remind him every-so-often of what advantage he does have.
"I wouldn't say no to it being demanded, but only 'cause it's you." It would be a joke in most contexts, but he seems... serious about it, especially given he's shifting him just enough to kiss at his jawline before gently setting the ridiculous spider in the water that he's hoping is still warm at this point. But once he does that he's wiggling around to get in after him, even if the adjustment of limbs is going to be a little ridiculous for them and he's quite content to instead tuck himself against Angel in this moment.
"What? To get the old man in too deep and make him into your personal servant and fucktoy?" He is down bad and he's not really going to deny as such, though he can't help but tease him in turn.
It's... extremely relaxing given everything and Husk's just adding onto it with the low rumbling purrs that Angel can probably feel just by the ridiculous cat leaning back against his chest like that.
"It certainly worked out for you," he murmurs, quite happily moving to push into each and every little touch that he's giving him right now. He never thought he could be this relaxed or this... happy of all things in his afterlife, but evidently he just needed to run into the right person.
"Just for you, baby." Which isn't an entire lie, of course. "Merry Sinsmas or whatever-the-fuck."
"I won't tell no one," he promises, enjoying that he gets to see this side of Husk that feels deeper than the side he usually shows off, no hiding behind that grumpy face.
"Happy Sinsmas," he agrees, not sure all this sentimental and cuddly stuff exactly fits with the spirit of Sinmas, but who says they can't make it their own?
