[Val's delivered, Angel can't deny that. And compared to most contracts Angel's benefited nearly as much as Valentino has. If he didn't blow most of his earnings getting high he'd be loaded, but living with Val it never mattered that much. Val looked after him. Managing his own funds is...not something Angel's great at in the best of times. Self control isn't one of his strengths.

Angel's mask fractures at that name, and all at once he's Anthony, vulnerable and trusting- at least when it comes to Valentino. Val was his first real love...only real love, and Anthony'd craved that acceptance so badly by the time he found it that there was nothing he wouldn't have done for Val.
