[That power's part of what drew Angel to Val originally. Along with his charm, obviously, but there was something about that ever present threat, even when things were nice... That Val chose to treat him soft and nice...made him feel small again when so much of hell made his new body feel too tall, made him feel safe. That kind of sentiment feels stupid now, but he still can't quite banish the feeling.
