[ he says this almost like it bores him, like maybe he doesn't believe that angel is sorry at all, but valentino doesn't linger on this tone. once angel is settled in his lap, he puts both of his empty hands on his back, one between his shoulders and one at the bottom of his spine, so that when he leans forward for a moment so he can put his drink in the nearest cupholder, angel's kept safe and in place.

when he sits back, his hands move again, one on each of his hips, and a third petting at the fluff over angel's chest. he says, with sincerity that seems to toe the line of being slightly overdone: ]
